Dear thieves,
I know times are hard, we all are going through it. But please don't steal our gas. It is annoying and really an inconvenience to find that gas is leaking all over the street. And for that matter please use the gas and not just let it go all over the street! I know that is was diesel, probably not what you wanted but if you bothered to read the truck then you would have known!

New projects

Lately I've been trying some new things like fondant, spray painting goodwill things, and of course lots of sewing! I made a couple of cakes for Dallen's B-day parties they turned out pretty cute! I also made 12 little capes for a super hero party sew fun!! I really like the before and after of the top of the desk.(thanks Christy for getting me thinking about the goodwill) Saver's is also a good place to look!! Happy thrifting!

A very long time

It has been awhile since I last posted!! The date was August 26, 2009.

Since then so many things have happen let me see if I can get it all in, We came back from vacation on July 7 th and decided to sell our house again!(it was for sell for a year a few years ago) It sold! So we moved in November! Right down the street but it still was hard! So we went on vacation in Oct.,to the one and only Disneyland!! So fun! Oh yeah did I meant Colten turned one somewhere in there.(Oct.1st)We have had our share of the throw ups 7x's for Colten this flu season, over it! We are currently getting over the lastest bout! We had the most amazing lights display this year! Doug really worked hard! We were putting lights on our house just one week after we moved! And then there were birthdays,Ali 10 (sept), Doug 32(nov), Dallen 4 (Jan),Kathy 30 (jan)! and there were holidays Halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas, New year's, and Valentine's day! (We choose not to meant Ground hog Day in there because it was not the out come we wanted!) We are back and hopefully will be better about posting!

Swimming

Kevin and his Mom invited us to go swimming the other day. My kids should have been born FISH!! They just love the water even Colten!! Please notice Colten's crazy hair, he is so fair and he hates hats so we use alot of sunscreen!! (it took a few shampooings to get it all out haha) It is so cute to see the cousins play together. Kyle is adorable!! Thanks so much Kevin and Vicki we had a blast!!

Lake Tahoe

We went to Lake Tahoe a few weekends ago, it was so much fun!!
I hadn't been for a few years, I forgot how fun it was!! Dallen loved the water (after a little while). We bought these floating raft things, so much fun, the girls didn't get off them the whole day!! Colten thought the water was a little to chilly(so did Mom) but everyone else went in!! It was so fun to just hang out and just have fun!!

At one of the cruises they have a big area where you can hula hoop. The kids loved it and were able to show off some stellar hula hooping! I love going to all the summer activities that Reno has!!

Oh Dallen

Dallen went downstairs in the middle of the night to sleep with Brooke!! So cute!

We have all his Pjs in a tub on a shelf in the closet well now that is his favorite place to hang out lay down, the problem is is he dumps out the jammies almost everyday huge mess!! But so funny!!

The other week I noticed that the only pictures I took of Dallen were of him getting into mischief!! So funny he really doesn't mean to be naughty he is just being 3!!

OK, so we when to the Jo Bros. So we might have really like the concert!! The girls loved it, of course. Dallen still talks about seeing them and how loud it was!! The stadium of fire fireworks is by far my favorite I've seen I love it!!
You will notice our killer seats in the nosebleed section!! The girls were so excited I think there were tears when thay came out!! SO CUTE!! The boys weren't to bad we just would go out and get drinks and snacks and use the restroom alot!! I was sore afterwards from going up and down the stairs so many times!! haha How out of shape am I!!!

Last night Colten was up crying at 12, so sad. I just love when it is not every night they get up but you get chance to hug them and love without worrying about anything else. I love the sweet smell of their hair, the softness of their little bodies, I love it!! I know that that will be the saddest part when I am done having kids is knowing that I am done, no more, but for now I will savor every minute.

Our own Fireworks show!!

One of Doug's greatest friends lives in Utah, so he invited us over for the most delicious burgers in the world and the best fireworks show ever!! (yes they legal in Utah, they have all the fun!!) OK, I'm only slightly worried that Brooke might grow up to to a pyro!! Dallen and Colten did really well, Dallen even joined in at one point. Ali would have not of that but she did enjoy watching and playing with sparklers!! Thanks Jason and Jesse!! We always have the best time at your house!!

Family Reunion Fun!!

We went to Utah for a Family Reunion, not much was planned for the first day we were there so we decided to go to the Dinosaur musuem and the Aquarium in Thanksgiving Point. So much fun!! The kids loved exploring in the Dinosaur Musuem, they are the largest Dino musuem in the US if not the world. They had so many hands on things, toys you could play with, costumes, a huge water and sand play area, even the girls loved it!!
After the musuem we were still looking for things to do, it was rainy and kinda yucky so we went to the Aquarium. The building was kinda funny like a grocery store front but the inside was cool!! Colten just loved to look at all the fish and things move! Dallen was so super cute to. They had people walking around telling you great facts about snakes and other repitiles!

This week has been a bummer Colt is really sick his fever was 102.7 last night he was just laying on me moaning and crying!! So sad, but today he is better!! HOORAY!! I still want to keep him home and well rested, I just feel so bad for the big kids!! Oh, well we always find stuff to do!

What we have been up to this Summer

Ali only has a 6 week summer so we were trying to squeeze in as much as we can but with the rotten weather, sick babies and the lack of things to do in Reno we are struggling! Here are a few things that we found super fun!! We went swimming for Chandler's B-day, WAY FUN!! We tye-dyed shirts for the Talent Show (it was a hippy theme)! We went the Nevada Historical Society Museum never been there but it was so cool the kids played dress up and played with old fashion toys, even the big kids liked it!! HOORAY!! We also went on a somewhat cloudy rainy day to the Animal Ark to watch the bears eat, sounds silly but it was really neat to see how they do it and why they do certain things!
Doug also redid our backyard this year we made it bigger and the grass is better so we can have the swing set out there!! The kids just love it!!

The other night we put Dallen to bed @ a normal time, we then went down stairs to clean watch a show and just hang out for a few hours. We finally came up to bed at 11:00p.m. to find our son playing in his closest happy as can be!!

Brooke first she is the oldest ya know............
Brooke finished 5th grade this year and is on to the new middle school. We went to a super fun camp for a few days in May right after her birthday (did I meant that she also turned 11 WOW(more pictures of that later)). She was also in the talent show singing and playing the guitar. She is amazing. We did have a little mess up with the amp. but she just rolled with it, I don't know many 11yr that will that composed in front of alot of people.

Ali graduated to fifth grade she is now the oldest in her school, so weird that they are so big!! Ali's class went to the park during the last week of school that was so much fun. I was able to go, I love to see how the kids act with all their friends! She is at such a cute age!

Dallen has finally started going to nursery!! Hooray!! He just loves his teacher! He loves to talk about his birthday in January in the spring! He always says Ali will you be my buddy! He really just loves Ali and wants to play with her all the time!

Colten well he is almost 9months old!! Where does time go?!? He has 4 teeth they really hurt when you get bit with them OUCH!! He really is a joy! HE doesn't crawl yet but does this funny lunge type crawl(?) thing , it is pretty funny to watch!!

Doug and I have been busy with Kids work and church!! Not always fun but always worth it!!

The last post Colten was four months but a few days later, the 1st in fact, he did turn 5 months!! Colten still doesn't roll over, GOOD, at least he is still there when I get back!! He likes blowing bubbles, laughing to himself mostly(I went by his room yesterday and he was just in there laughing and talking to himself), he is just happy to be in the action right on the floor, luckily we have had no injuries, HOORAY!
The girls went back to school today, it was wonderful and sad all in one! I love having them around it is never boring there is always someone to talk to always delightful noise to listen to. The house was sorta quiet today, weird!
Potty training update doing great just need to get a few more mattress protectors so we can go without a diaper at night and I need him to take naps in his own bed not in mine, there's no way that I'm letting him go free in my bed!
That is life right now just having fun, enjoying the kids doing the best we can and LOVING every minute of it!!

When went to the Dr. in early Feb. to get check-ups For the boys, as always very funny! The Dr. just thinks we have the fattest kids ever. This time Colten was 17.4lbs 26in. just an overall CHUBBY!! He has since learned how to blow bubbles, laugh right out loud and has what looks the beginning of a TOOTH, he is way too old!!

Up date on potty training, we go everywhere without a daiper now! I tried to not put a diaper on for bedtime but we had an accident! Still struggling with #2 but no kindergartner goes to school not potty trained! RIGHT?!

Our big boy he is three now he weighs 32lbs and is 38" tall. He has a funny personality! He gets frustrated and I'm pretty sure he has some OCD tendencies. That is why we love him so much because he is Dallen noone else!

Dallen was a sweet little guy he just loved to play with the girls!

Checking out this really cool jungle play set, it has real sounds like monkeys it is really funny!

Every self respecting boy needs his own work bench! He spends hours just hammering away! This is his favorite!

Just checking it out, this is another favorite! It is a train set to go on his train table! Me and Dallen are going to try and set it up, wish us luck!

So we asked Dallen where he wanted to eat on his B-day and of course he said Hucadonald's. We went and played and ate and really just enjoyed Dallen and his special day!

It started on Wednesday, we had to go to Target and do a few other errands. I bought Dallen some more panties @ Target, when we were checking out he starting saying that he had to go potty, so we when took off the diaper and haven't looked BACK!! He still wears one at night and during naps but other than that even out we are diaper free!! Well, at least for Dallen, Colten has another 3yrs to go!! Thanks everyone for their encouragement and GREAT ideas!!
I was told probably on Dallen's third B-day he would get it, so today is his third B-day!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG BOY!!(we'll have pictures to come, from the Hucadonald's)

Cold Turkey?!

Dallen really is trying, to potty train, Sunday was a much better day, we only had to stop once between our house and Grandma's house (we had to go to Doug's work anyway). Then at Grandma's house he didn't have any accidents!! HOORAY!! Today so far GREAT!! I think I need to be brave and just go cold turkey on the diapers!!

Day 3 No Diapers

Last night was good no accidents except for the #2 in the diaper.(YUCK) I'll be glad when that is over!!! So far today no accidents and he is telling me and going on the big boy potty!! HOORAY FOR DALLEN! I'm still not confident enough to take him any where or let him go any where maybe next week!!
Sorry for everyone that has to read this but this is my scrapbooking!! I have to document it somehow!!
I do have other kids they are great just getting through the last week and a half before break!! SIGH, I'm always glad for break because really it is a break for me too, homework, getting the kids to school and everything else that comes with school!

Day 2 No Diapers

So........... the rest of the day yesterday was great no accidents, in fact we put him in his jammies for the night and he told us twice that he had to go!!
Today started at 7a.m. we put undies on till it was time to take the girls to school then we put on a diaper over his undies still no pee-pee and no accidents on the way to school!! HOORAY!! We did wind up having an accident at lunch but oh well! At naptime he wouldn't go to sleep until he went potty!! I guess it pays to wait till they are really old!!

No Diapers Today

So, this is the first time I have potty trained a boy and the first time I have had a blog to document eveything (YEAH, for everyone that gets to read it!)! The morning of the first day has gone really well, we have had one accident that's it. The big thing is Dallen is running to the potty by himself!! We have only stopped up the toilet once with too much tiolet paper! It is amazing what a big boy he is!!

Change is coming

So..... today I'm feeling very nervous, change always makes me feel this way! The President was sworn in this morning. It is a historical day, our first black president, I'm excited that our kids can witness this.It will be a very interesting year!
Also this week Dallen has decided that he really wants to potty train!! YEAH,no more two kids in diapers!!
Last week I turned 29, can I say that HATE my birthday! I don't know why but it is always a terrible day! Though I am really excited to be getting older, I remember looking at people my age when I was younger and thinking what will I be doing, how many kids will I have, what will my house look like, will I have a house? I'm glad to say that I have four kids, I like my house and most important I am HAPPY that I think is the greatest feeling that has come with getting older, just being HAPPY!! So I wish all of you a year of good change and a year of happiness.

Colten is 3 months

I know these are out of order but that is the way my life is, just a little askew.
So, Colten did indeed turn 3 months on the 1st.. Here are some highlights, he got to take a nap with Brooke, he is smiling so much (to get it on camera is just asking for too much ok?!),he slept for 10hrs one night (we are waiting for a repeat performance), Dallen hasn't smothered him to death yet and we all just love him so much!!
Oh, did I mention he was FAT?
I don't mean to brag but he is my first baby to actually take regular LONG naps and be some what on a schedule!! (I know Mandy!! hehe)

Brooke's new hair cut

So, Kaly had a test at her beauty school on Sat., and we decided that Brooke would be a good model. She was always bugging me to cut her hair really short. So, Brooke sat there patiently while Kaly cut and the testers marked her off on her wonderful work!! Thanks Kaly!! We love it!! A little out of order but you get the picture!!

Silent Night, Yeah Right

Some of Doug's sisters and brother came over for New Year's. We played the Wii well the truth of the matter the boys played the wii and the girls chatted sand played games!! For dinner we had tri-tip and crab legs, Yummy!! It was fun! After dinner Doug's parents came over with his Grandma she is a riot I think she would stay up all night if she had someone to chat with!! I took some funny pictures of the people that went to sleep and of course video games. I almost forgot that we opened poppers, that was so funny everyone telling cheesy jokes playing with the little toys and putting on the crowns!! Love it ! It was so fun because all the grown-ups were totally playing along and just being silly!

Christmas morning started out really early for us, the girls got up at 4a.m., Not loving that!! Then we told them to go back to bed for a few hours so we could rest. They came in at 5 and 6. Dallen sometime in there got into our bed, I'm assuming the girls woke him up several times! Poor Guy! We finally woke up at 7:15 or so wondering what had happened to our kids, did they open their presents already or what? NO,they went back to sleep and we had to wake them up!! So, funny!! Christmas was wonderful it snowed that morning making one of the only white Christmas's I remember!! It was really amazing, the whole house was singing and laughing it really felt like Christmas!! Dallen got his beloved Spiderman scooter and has ridden it everyday since!! Brooke is already designing clothes for her dolls, I think that is the only reason she still plays with dolls. Ali got her Webkinz and loves to play with them online!! Thanks Santa another job well done!!

This year we decided to step up our Nativity story we added a few props, a few kids and lots of laughs. Dallen was hysterical in his costume, he thought he was so cute. So did we!! Brooke was Mary she took her part very seriously. Ali and Darby were the big Angels they were able to were the girls baptism dresses so they felt very pretty. I don't think they felt very angel like since I found Ali standing on the arm of the couch!! Sorry Grandma!! The little girls were angels so cute but tring to get a 2yr and 3yr old to focus was too funny. The sheperd might have given Baby Jesus lots of kisses, I wonder if that really happened! Baby Jesus played by Colten only cried once, what a good sport. It was wonderful to see all the kids reenact The First Christmas. I think it was a fun way to spend Christmas Eve night.

Ali had her program on Tuesday, she is so funny we asked her if she was going to sing and she said maybe a little. We then asked her if she had a speaking part, "no" was her very serious reply. Maybe next year?!? Probably not. She still looks so cute so who cares if she sings or not.

This whole season Dallen has been playing with the Nativity, he moves them everyday he talks to them and he gets really mad if someone messes with it. Notice how the cow is eating the berries and the sheep are watching everyone. All the people are crammed in the creche, I guess they were chilly. I would love to know what he is thinking when he plays with it.

Ali Had Lunch with the principal on Tuesday. After she was out sick for 2 days.
Brooke now has so sort of stomach flu thing but it only lasted less than 24 hours.
Dallen is being 2 and wild. Not wanting to take naps, but being so cute in the process that you can't be mad for to long.
Ali told me while we were watching the Nativity story that if she ever got to hold Baby Jesus she would never put him down! What a good mommy she'll be one day!
Colten just spends his day sleeping and eating, I guess that is why he is so chubby!
We'll see how the rest of the week goes, we are having the Freeman family over for dinner on Sunday hopefully we are done with our yucky germs, and I can sanitize my house. I love my life and the funny trials we all have. I just smile cause one day I'll miss sick kids, diapers and 2 year olds.

Bumbo Time

We started last as a family decorating gingerbread houses at mom's house. It is always so much fun to see what everyone comes up with.
You have Ali and Darby who are in their own right perfectionist's then there is my funny Brooke who is just so funny!!
I love how you see the different personalities come out.
You really can't read it but on Brooke's house it says don't eat yellow snow!
Sad for Ali but her house collasped as soon as we got home.

My husband has a love for all things Christmas. He took the week off to decorate the house, it looks amazing! We have a Family tradition of cutting Christmas trees every year, this year we were thinking that it would be okay it we just got one from the Home Depot but last minute we decide that it was a good idea to go up and cut one. I am so glad that we went. I don't think it would have felt like Christmas if we didn't. I do have to mention that we only cut one tree instead of two and Lowes provided the other one. I forgot but this is the first year with Colten, so Doug's truck was at capacity tight but really fun!

Sunday was a very special day Colten was blessed but also his cousin Lilly. It was so neat to see the whole family there together and doing those things that we know to be true and right. I love my family so much and the thought of being together forever makes me so happy. I love you guys!!
It was great to see Doug bless our tiny(that's all relative, have you seen him?!!)guy. It reminds you that they are fresh from Heavenly fFather and that he sent them here to do his will. It is a humbling thought to think that he was sent here to be with us and that Heavenly Father trusted us with this child.

We were all hanging out having so much fun drinking hot coco talking. The kids were messing around waiting for the tree to be lit. It goes to show you that sometimes it is not the many things we do it is just being together that is more fun. It took so long the kids were losing their patience it was cold and the fireworks were very loud but it was fun just to hang out.

A new Dryer

As luck would have it our dryer finally gave up. So we had to get a new one just a few days after Colten was born. Not to meant poor Doug was pretty sick to. As you can see give the kids a box and some supplies and you never know what will happen

On October 1st we had a new baby Colten Robert Freeman.

It started out pretty regular the day I mean. Me and Dallen just hanging out doing our chores we went and saw Doug for lunch.

Just a normal day at about 4:30 I decided to call the Dr. because I was having wierd symtoms the Dr. told me to come in and get check. I thought that I would be going home soon if fact that is what I told my mother-in -law.

At the hospital they checked said everything looks good stay for an hour then you can go home, after about a half an hour my water broke and about 3hrs later we had a baby!! Yeah!
